Dennis J. Black, ASA, IFAS Mr. Black is the founder of the Institute of Real Estate Studies. He is a State Certified General Appraiser, and AQB Certified USPAP Instructor. He holds the Senior designation from the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (NAIFA). He served on NAIFA’s National Board of Directors from 2000 to 2003. He also served on their National Education Committee from 1999 to 2003 and was the chairman of the committee in 2002. He is the author of two books published by NAIFA and has written numerous Continuing Education courses. He is a nationally known speaker and has taught real estate classes in 15 states.
 
Philip G. Spool, ASA - Mr. Spool is a State Certified General Appraiser and an adjunct faculty member for Miami-Dade College. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a major in banking and finance from the University of Florida. He was born and raised in Miami-Dade County and served as a Vice President and Chief Appraiser for Flagler Savings and Loan before starting his own appraisal firm. He is an experienced expert witness and currently focuses his valuation skills on multi-family and high end residential properties. He also serves as an officer of the Greater Miami Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers and from 2002-2004 was the chapter’s president.
 
Kalle Petrick - Mr. Petrick is a State Certified General Appraiser. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Columbia University in New York City, and a diploma in Communication and Design from Oxford Polytechnic Institute in Oxford, England. He has taught courses and seminars relating to telecommunications in United States, Central and South America. He speaks English, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish. His appraisal work is focused on the valuation of non-residential uses.
